meetupsoftstory

On the 107th anniversary of the 1906 San Francisco Earthquake, San Francisco adopted unanimously a new ordinance, No. 66-13, signed by Major Ed Lee on April 18th, 2013, and which established a Mandatory Soft Story Retrofit Program. This legislation requires the evaluation and retrofit for “multi-unit soft-story buildings,” defined as: Wood-frame structures, containing five or more residential units, having two or more stories over a “soft” or “weak” story, and permitted for construction prior to January 1, 1978. Do you have a “Soft Story” building? Or know someone who does?

Are you prepared? The big one is coming. It will effect smaller buildings as well. Don’t stick your head in the sand. You have no choice. You have to do it–Do it now! We can help!
